Workshop on “Knowledge and policy on water and landslide hazards”

Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) organized a workshop on “Knowledge and policy on water and landslide hazards in post earthquake Nepal” on July 6, 2015 at Hotel Summit Kathmandu. The workshop was jointly organized by Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS), University of New South Wales Australia (UNSW), Department of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management (DSCWM), Forest Action and International Water Management Institute (IWMI).

This workshop brought together researchers, experts and practitioners working on disasters, landslides, water management, and social and policy sciences to reflect on and draw up shared research and action agendas. The insights are expected to feed into ongoing research and engagement efforts and to policy processes initiated by the government and other relevant actors.
